This particular tequila was crafted by Enrique Fonseca in the spring of 2010. Seventy-five percent of the batch was distilled in a double-copper column still with plates removed to achieve a lower distillation proof, while the remaining twenty-five percent was distilled in an alembic pot still. Fifty percent of the run was aged in American white oak barrels that previously held California red wine, while the other half was aged in dark French oak barrels.
