In 2016, Longbranch Bourbon was jointly created by Eddie Russell, master distiller at Wild Turkey, and cultural tastemaker Matthew McConaughey. As two whiskey aficionados, they were curious to see how a Kentucky Bourbon would fare on a road trip to Texas. The result - a small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon, enhanced with American Oak and Texas mesquite charcoals - was christened Longbranch, a nod to camaraderie and the bond of friendship.
