Westward is a Portland, Oregon-based American Single Malt Whiskey that pays homage to the traditional craft brewing practices of the Pacific Northwest. Each batch of Westward is brewed with great care, utilizing locally sourced two-row pale barley malt and slow fermenting it with American Chico ale yeast. After a meticulous double pot distillation process, the whiskey is matured in medium char new American oak barrels. The resulting aroma is robust and fruity, with hints of creamy vanilla and brown sugar. On the palate, expect notes of baking spice, lush fruit, and sweet malt, followed by a finish of tobacco, dark chocolate, and leather, with a lingering oak sweetness giving way to stone fruit.
