This Stranahan's® Sherry Cask whiskey is made with double-distilled 100% malted barley and aged for 4 years in virgin American white oak barrels before being finished in PX and Oloroso Sherry barrels from southern Spain. With a complex aroma featuring sweet dried fruits like raisins, figs, and dates, as well as honey, grape syrup, jam, and candied fruit. The palate offers a rich combination of flavors including chocolate, coffee, and raisins from the PX barrels, combined with caramel, nutty, and fruity notes from the Oloroso barrels. It can be enjoyed neat, with a splash of water, or in cocktails. Its finish is buttery with hints of caramel, whipped cream, brown sugar, and a touch of smoked cayenne.
