The PINHOOK RYE WHISKEY is proofed at 97 and features a delightful blend of aromas, including tangerine peel, cinnamon stick, and toffee. On the palate, one can taste a perfect balance of dried apricot, molasses, toasted cedar, and clove. The Vertical Series is a unique opportunity to follow the aging process of a group of 450 MGP rye barrels, ranging from four to twelve years. This inaugural vintage marks the beginning of a nine-year journey, with each spring bringing a new batch of approximately 50 rye barrels that are carefully blended to achieve the perfect balance and complexity. The Bourbon Vertical Series launched in the fall of 2019, and the 5-year-old bottling will be released this fall. The Vertical Rye is dedicated to Tiz Rye Time, a promising young colt who had completed four races at the time of the 4 Year vintage’s release.
