Don Amado Pechuga is an animal-free mezcal similar to those offered by Wahaka and a few other producers. Usually, Pechuga mezcal is created by suspending a chicken breast in the still during the third distillation. In contrast, Don Amado's vegan Pechuga utilizes a mix of local wild apples, apricots, bananas, walnuts, cloves, cinnamon, and other spices that are added prior to the third distillation.
